~A seven-year child who has just started school was found starving in a locked room in a flat.
Reported thestar, police released the child in a weakened state of starvation when they entered the flat at Two Rivers Park Main, Sungai Dua, Penang, Malaysia.
They also believe that he had gone without food for several days. Assistant police commissioner Abdul Rahman said the child directly asking for food so found by the police.
The police had gone to the flat after the child's teacher worried because he did not appear after the first day of school.
"Teachers also said that the child looks weak and fragile. They became more suspicious when the father came and took RM 100 school assistance," he said.
When found, the amak also suffered bruises on her arms and thighs and allegedly because there were pinched.
His father (34) which is believed to be a gas station attendant, was arrested and placed under arrest.
Assistant police commissioner Abdul Rahman adding that police believe the child is the daughter of his first wife suspected of Indonesia.
The couple had split up and the suspect now lives with his second wife and their five children in the other flats nearby.
