Google developed to check diabetes Contact Lenses
~Google has announced the smart contact lenses. The announcement was made Thursday. The lens was enabled to health, control blood sugar or diabetes users.
As reported by USA Today, Friday 17 January 2014, Google's smart lens will measure glucose levels by utilizing a wireless chip and sensor glucose. Lens tear utilize glucose to measure a person's diabetes.
Giant Internet companies that share the story happenings emergence of this wearable device. The company listened to most diabetics rarely check their glucose levels because of an injection or blood test.
While Google wants to facilitate testing glucose levels in a way that is simple and easy.
Experts in fact have been looking for ways to better glucose tests, for example through sweat, saliva, urine until tears.
Examination through tears belong to more realistic, but hit on a way of collection. To that end, Google then bring the smart contact lenses.
"Anyone wondering, mini electronic device, such as a sensor chip and small and thin, can measure glucose with a great degree of accuracy," Google said.
In making the smart lens, Google had to work hard, designing chips towering super mini and slim independently. The lenses are also designed flexible material such as plastic films.
Chips and sensors embedded between two layers of contact lens material. There is a small pinhole in the lens of the eye that allows fluid to seep into glucose sensor. Uniquely, this lens can analyze the levels of glucose per second.
The company is based in Mountain View that has conducted several studies to test the comfort and functionality of smart lens.
Google also explains how the relationship tear glucose and blood glucose by cooperating with diabetes. In addition, the company also consult with the Food and Drug Administration ....
