This comet was discovered by Australian amateur astronomer Terry Lovejoy of, on August 17, 2014. Sister Terry found with the help of a 0.2-meter telescope Schmidt-Cassegrain. The discovery of a comet that came to be known by the name of Comet Lovejoy, according name of the inventor.

Lovejoy Comet can be seen without tools on a clear night sky and no pollution. Comet Lovejoy is in the constellation Taurus. Taurus constellation visible shortly after dusk through. It is located in the northern part of the sky. In this constellation, there is a red star called Aldebaran. Comet Lovejoy will be seen near the star, green color.
